Empathy Isn’t Toxic
Toxic currents rise
a heart sealed behind mirrors
empathy stays clear.
Coins scatter like treats
power waits for praise and flags
truth unlocks the cage.
Empathy listens
without swallowing the harm
kindness keeps its spine.
Cornelia DeDona "Poems, Magical Fiction and Photography" I craft poems and stories of resilience and imagination that celebrate the enduring power of kindness.
